School Children
and "Hollywood's Mayor" Gather To Honor Film Industry's "Top
Dogs"

March 2001 (Newstream) -- Hundreds of school children, celebrities,
and our favorite furry ones met in Hollywood for the new "Animal
Planet Live!" attraction and installation of the Animal Actors
Walk of Fame, honoring the most talented and celebrated animals
working in the TV and motion picture field.
"Animal Planet Live!," an animal-friendly show bringing the
popular Animal Planet television network's favorite program
together with behind-the-scenes movie magic opens simultaneously
at Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Studios in Florida
on April 6, 2001.
Attendees of the event were Johnny Grant, Hollywood's "Honorary
Mayor"; Jeff Corwin, star of Animal Planet's "Jeff Corwin
Experience"; Matt Gallant, host of "The Planet's Funniest
Animals; and Drs. Robert Taylor and Kevin Fitzgerald, TV's
"Emergency Vets"; plus hundreds of school children and quadruped
honorees Beethoven the dog, Babe the pig, Mr. Jinx the cat
("Meet The Parents") and Max the dog ("The Grinch").
