TWO SHOT, ANCHORS IN STUDIO
PUSH IN ON ANCHOR 1 |
ANCHOR 1: |
It’s been said that music is THE
international language.
Indeed, it is a routinely accepted fact by
scholars throughout the socio-political world, that music
is the only form of communication that knows no
boundaries.
|
CUT TO ANCHOR 2 |
ANCHOR 2: |
That’s right, [ANCHOR 1]. We witness this
in every Olympics festival, how music is the primary tool
used to spread peace and goodwill among the nations. Music
is THE one common denominator that brings people together
from every corner of the earth.
|
BACK TO ANCHOR 1 |
ANCHOR 1: |
Our next story is based on the power of
music and the power of an idea shared by two men—who until
a few months ago, were not even acquainted with each
other. Both, however, shared a desire to help bring peace
and harmony to the youth of the world through music and
technology. It’s a story that, perhaps now more than ever
before, the world needs to hear. [REPORTER] begins
[his/her] report in Florida.

Dennis McLaughlin spent the past
twenty-five years of his life in the communications
industry, engineering and developing the complex

McLaughlin dreamed about the promise he believed the
Internet held for creating a true global village among the
Earth’s divergent cultures and people.

DENNIS McLAUGHLIN SOUNDBITE: |
The dream I have is one that I think most
people share—it’s a dream of global peace and unity for
our children to grow up in. A world without war, without
terrorism and without oppression for all.
|
SLOWLY PUSH INTO CLOSE UP ON DENNIS FROM
PREVIOUS SHOT |
DENNIS McLAUGHLIN SOUNDBITE CONT’D: |
Most people have resigned to the
mentality, that there is nothing they can do to make
global peace a reality. I don’t think like that, I believe
if people work together and we educate our children then
global peace can be a reality. We have the technological
means at our disposal today to reach out to the world’s
next generation and make this happen.

CUTAWAY TO REVERSE SHOT ON REPORTER |
LAUREN SOUNDBITE: |
[to the effect of]:
“Keep in mind the driving force behind all
this is the music--and the performing artists who will
bring the music to the kids. First and foremost, it will
be entertaining for the kids—it has to be—because that
will allow us to introduce the educational aspects of the
program, too.”

WIDE SHOT OF CELEBRITY IN THEIR OWN
ENVIRONMENT PUSH IN TO MED SHOT |
CELEBRITY SOUNDBITE: |
[to the effect of]:
It’s an idea that addresses the fear and
mistrust—the disharmony in the world--through a viable,
longterm solution. If we give kids throughout the world
music and knowledge, coupled with the means to communicate
with each other in their own language, rather than
destructive weapons and violent ideologies, then we’ll
really begin to see the seeds of peace in this world.

The beauty of this is that the music will

the best re-mix artists in the dance market, and they are
going to create some amazing global music tracks that will
underscore the lyrically thematic compositions on the
album.

They have to care about the future of the
youth in this world, and in turn, we are going to provide

project.” In essence, it’s a high profile community
relations program for the global community.”
